Cheryl was born in New Orleans on April 23, 1947, and graduated from Annunciation High School in 1965. She worked as an administrative assistant with Mount Carmel for many years. Later, she worked for Comeaux Furniture and Appliance as Mike Comeaux’s secretary for over twenty years until her retirement.
Cheryl was a loving and nurturing caretaker to the family. She had a generous heart and would buy gifts for everyone, but herself. She never forgot a birthday and held her family and friends close, even maintaining long distance relationships by text or phone calls. She will be fondly remembered for her love of playing cards, bingo, and pokeno. She enjoyed a hot cup of coffee, a garden full of flowers and butterflies, and a family vacation in Bay St. Louis. She will be sadly missed by everyone who knew her.
A private burial will take place in Metairie Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Cheryl’s memory to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, www.cff.org, or to the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org.
