Airey died peacefully in Covington, Louisiana on May 29, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones. She was preceded in death by her husband, William M. Ellis. She is survived by her children Miriam C. Brenner (Scott), Cecile C. Jones (Trent), Marguerite C. Duvic (Bert) and Lindsay E. Lanaux (Mike) and nine grandchildren: Molly and Charlie Brenner, Parker and Airey Jones, Carter and Ladd Duvic and Ellis, Clare and Isabel Lanaux. The family would like to thank the exceptional staff at Christwood Retirement Community and Notre Dame Hospice for their loving care of our mother. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at Christ Episcopal Church Covington (120 S. New Hampshire St.) at 10:00 AM, followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Christwood Foundation (100 Christwood Blvd., Covington, LA 70433) are appreciated.
