Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Ronald R. Clark Sr “Bo-Bo”; her parents, Joyce Mae “Memaw” and Joe Allen Cummins “Pap”; son, Ronald R. Clark Jr “Rusty”; sister, Jeanette Dodd and Barbara Collins; and brother, Clint Cummins.
She is survived by her children, Debbie Muller (Conrad), Cindy Brewton (Eric) and Pam Bertucci; her sister, Jean Rogers; grandchildren, Melanie Garofalo (Ray), Michael Muller, Amy Glasser (Nate), Emily Evans (Blake), Jenna Sanchez (Daniel), Ronald Clark III and Rachel and Robby Bertucci; and great-grandchild, Lucy Grace Evans. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
Betty graduated from Vaiden High School at the age of 17. She then headed to New Orleans via train to pursue a nursing degree at Touro Infirmary. On a blind date, she met her soulmate Ronnie and they married in 1956. They were married for 56 years. During her nursing career, she worked primarily as a home care nurse. She retired in 1998 from R&R Homecare, Inc. She was also honored as one of the “Great 100 Nurses of Louisiana” in 1998. The love and joy of her life were her husband, 4 children, 8 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter. She loved on them every chance she had and they all loved her dearly.
Her Christian Faith was evident in her everyday life. She was a long time member of Pontchartrain Church and Lakeshore Church. She touched the lives of everyone she met in a very special way.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation held at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans, La on Saturday, September 24, 2022 from 11:00AM until 1:00PM. A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm in the chapel. Interment will follow in Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
