Aline “Tousa” Waguespack Davis, 92, entered into eternal life on April 25, 2023, joining her beloved husband Don. Tousa was born in New Orleans, the youngest of the 6 children of Aline May Lirette and John Francis Waguespack. She is survived by her children: Donald Richard Davis, Jr (Donna) and Nanette Louise Davis (Bill Lawrence) of Metairie, Linda Davis Morrisson of Melbourne, Florida, and Margaret Aline “Marline” Kelly (Charlie) of Alpharetta, Georgia; her grandchildren Sawyer McLellan Davis (Brook), Alan Richard Davis (Olivia) and Mary “Molly” Davis Underwood (Rebecca), Scott Patrick Kelly and Allison Renee Kelly; and two great grandsons Weston and Parker.
Tousa and Don’s home was always filled with lots of family and friends, love and laughter, food and fresh fish! After raising her children, Tousa turned her attention to supporting patriotic and community service organizations. She was active in the Spirit of ’76 chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) for over 40 years. Tousa served as DAR Chapter Regent, and as a State Officer of the Louisiana DAR. Tousa was past president of Louisiana Colonials, Fine Arts Club of New Orleans, and Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family to celebrate Tousa’s life at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd on Thursday, May 4th; visitation is from Noon – 2:00 PM, with a Mass in the Lake Lawn Chapel immediately thereafter.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Spirit of ‘76 Chapter Patriotic Marker Project honoring Revolutionary Soldiers who fought under Bernardo de Galvez and are buried in St Louis Cemetery in New Orleans.
