Dear Uncle Herb, Karen, Rob and family,
We are very sorry about your loss.  Even though we didn't see as much of you since you lived in far off New London, Aunt Rita was always warm and kind to us when we met.  I appreciate the way she remembered us with photographs and genealogy of the Manke family.  My brother and I also appreciated your coming to our mother's funeral.  Our thoughts and prayers our with you as we remember her wonderful life.

Mr. Manke, Bob, Karen, Grand and Great-Grand children and the extended Manke Family,

While our lives have only touched occassionally as the years have passed I have always felt a closeness with all of you.  Phyllis and I were very saddened to hear of "Mom's" passing and our condolences go out to you all.  With fondness and great emotion I remember our growing up together and sharing so much of our lives with each other. May Mrs. Manke find the peace and happiness she so well deserves now - she will be in our prayers.

So sorry to hear of Grandma Manke's passing. I always enjoyed her smiles and hugs and of course her family. Love to you all.

We always enjoyed joking with Rita and seeing her beautiful smile, which sometimes could be an impish grin.  It is always hard to see the struggle that comes with aging, so we will try to remember that smile and the dignified way she would hold her head high when she spoke proudly of her family.  Her church, her friends and her family meant so much to her.  She will be missed.  May you find comfort in knowing that she is at peace and no longer suffering.
