Mr. Pearson was born on October 21, 1951 in Rhode Island. He is predeceased by his parents, John and Mary Allen Pearson.
John graduated from New London High School and later went on to serve many years in the Waterford Police Department, then after his retirement, he worked in sales and financing for various auto dealers but his passion since youth had always been music, specifically the drums. He spent many years in the late 60s through the mid seventies traveling with band’s The Windjammers, The Wildweeds ,The Foremost ,P.F and the Flyers, Spyders Gang just to name a few, and more recently with Special Twenty . His charisma and talent was seen by many and anyone who knew him would describe him as quick witted and very fun to be around as the laughs were almost guaranteed. John’s happiest moments were always spent with his family, many friends, and his new found love of becoming a Grandfather.
Mr. Pearson will be sorely missed and is survived by his wife, Robin Grano Pearson (her son Jesse Grano), his son John W. Pearson III and fiance, La Siphaxay of Waterford, his daughters Deena Pearson of Groton, Melissa Pearson of ME, and Abbigail Downs of CA, .
