Stacey was born August 30, 1979 in New Iberia to Joseph Badeaux, Sr. and Annabelle Toucheque and was one of four children. She was a hard worker and dedicated mother to her children and grandchildren. Her father and aunt spoke of Stacey and her love of shopping and dining out. It was just a few things that brought her peace of mind and gave her time to relax. But it can be easily said that her greatest and absolute best times were when she was surrounded by her family. Her sweet smile and gentle heart will be missed. We are heartbroken but know that she is not gone, only gone on before us. Until we meet again, rest well Stacey. We love you.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Patrick W. Melancon, Jr.; her children, Trenton Melancon (Cameron), Treylon Melancon and Traclynn; her grandchildren, Bentley and Carson; her father, Joseph Badeaux, Sr.; her mother, Annabelle Toucheque; two brothers, Joseph Badeaux, Jr. and Casey Badeaux; her Godmother, Cynthia Toucheque; her Nanny, Louise Courville; a very dear and close friend, Casey David; and a host of aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins and friends who will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Tracey Badeaux; her Godfather, Allen Badeaux; and her grandparents, John and Mable Toucheque and Mack and Villia Badeaux.
