RYNELLA – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Renee Reed Vincent at 10:30 am Saturday, June 1, 2019 at St. Marcellus Catholic Church. Fr. James Nguyen will be the celebrant. Renee will be laid to rest at Holy Family Mausoleum immediately following the Mass.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at Evangeline Funeral Home on Friday from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm, with the Men’s Rosary Group leading the recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 pm. Visiting hours will resume on Saturday from 8:00 am until 10:30 am.
Renee was born September 5, 1972 in Jennings, LA to the Barbara Blanchard Reed and the late Norris Reed and was one of seven children. Renee passed away unexpectedly on May 17, 2019 while with her husband on a trip to Colorado. She was 46.
Renee took great pride and joy in her role as a homemaker. Although she enjoyed accompanying Kevin on some overland trips, her greatest joy was being home and taking care of the family. Renee had a love for flowers and tending to her yard, and also enjoyed listening and dancing to Cajun French Music. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her husband Kevin J. Vincent; her children, Jason Jude Segura (Harley), Brooklyn Paige Segura, Kevin J. Vincent, Jr (Brandy)., Kelly Vincent Abshire (Travis); her grandchildren, Mackinzie Vincent, Kevin J. Vincent, IV, Jade Vincnet, Ava Grace Segura, Annabelle Faith Segura, Blake William Credeur and Cole Alexander Credeur; her mother, Barbara Reed; and her sisters and brothers, Mona Reed, Pam Tignor, Brandy Mondor, Norris Reed, Jr. and Shane Reed.
Along with her father, she was preceded her husband of 1st marriage, Marty Segura; and her brother, Ronnie Reed.
Members of the family will serve as pallbearers.
