A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Maria Frittella Scott, age 90, at 10:00 am on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Fr. Garrett Savoie, pastor, will be the celebrant. Following the mass, she will be laid to rest alongside her husband at Holy Family Mausoleum.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm with the rosary at 6:30 pm. The funeral home will reopen on Thursday at 8:00 am until service time.
Maria was born on February 26, 1931 in New Iberia to the late Nicola and Venia Gulotta Frittella. She passed away on Sunday, October 31, 2021 at her residence.
Mrs. Scott was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church and the Catholic Daughters.
She was an elementary school teacher in Iberia Parish for many years and enjoyed sewing, crocheting and listening to opera music.
She is survived by her daughter, Maria Louise Scott; one son, Robert Nicholas Scott and wife Evangeline and two grandchildren, Alyssa Scott and Nicole Scott all of New Iberia.
Along with her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Scott.
