John Oliver Wyble, a man of great faith and love for his God, Family and community, passed away peacefully at 6:30 am Wednesday, April 1, 2020 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was 71.
John was born September 18, 1948 in Opelousas Louisiana to the late Adrian Wyble and the late Celeman Doga Wyble. He grew up in the Bellevue community and began a career in the Oilfield at an early age. He worked most of his life in the oilfield with SWAP, Inc, working for Robert Carpenter, who was a dear friend and like a brother to him.
John lived a simple life in his eyes, but a life filled with love, laughter, kindness and generosity. His faith provided him strength, wisdom and guidance to live each day to its fullest. As an outdoorsman, he enjoyed spending time hunting with Mary, fishing and camping. Above all, he was most happy when he was with his family. John leaves a legacy of faith and love that will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. Rest well John for you have earned your heavenly reward.
Those left to cherish his memory is his wife and best friend of 27 years, Mary Watson Wyble; his daughter, Shellie Wyble Watson (Woody); two grandchildren, Sisciley Watson Fontenot (Paul) and Brandon Watson (Jade); five great grandchildren, Jackson, Brooklynn and Elijah Fontenot, and Victoria and Lucas John Watson; and his sister and brother, Dee Ziegler (Bob) and Karlen Wyble (Sandra).
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Evelyn Lavergne and Jackie Wilmath; and four brothers, Adrian Wyble, Jr., Eugene Wyble, Oren Wyble and Ernest Wyble.
Serving as pallbearers are Woody and Brandon Watson, Paul Fontenot and Robert Carpenter.
Private services will be held for John and he will be laid to rest at Bellevue Cemetery in Opelousas.
