Dad, I miss you so much! I want to say thanks for everything that you've done in my life! I am thankful that we were able to help Lisa in taking care of you. No regrets. I know that it got very difficult at times to handle you, but God gave us the strength to endure it. Dad, you were such a hard worker. I always admired  that of you! I wish that you could have enjoyed your retirement, the way you should have. It upset me that it was taken away from you.  I thank God for the memories  we had together. Rest in Peace!

To my Dad, Papa I will miss you. We,ve had good times we've had sad times. I've watched you struggle on a daily basis with your quality of life and I've tried to make it easier for you day by day by keeping you moving and doing things but overtime your body couldn't go anymore .  I pushed you to the limit because I know you still had it in you ,you wanted to give up a long time ago and I just couldn't let you do that,I know you would get upset with me but is because I love you . I promised you I would care for you and I would be there to the very end. I've been told that I gave up my life for the last 15 years to care for you but Dad you were my life and I wouldn't of had it any other way. My dad was a hard worker and a provider and he took care of his family.  You know it was my hearts desire to move back home to take care of dad give him a comfortable home and to take care of all his needs by the grace of God I was able to do that but I also gave my dad in unconditional love.  It wasn't always easy because my dad was a stubborn man he just didn't wanna do it anymore and therefore we butted heads but everything I did is because I love my dad .   My mom always told me that when she found out she was expecting me my Dad ask for a girl, when I found that very strange because men usually ask for boys for their firstborn to carry their names but my dad asked for a girl .  So one day my dad was the being ugly to me and I just knelt down and asked him a question and I took his hand and I said I'm going to ask you something and look at me when you say it ,well you know my dad would always roll his eyes I asked him papa why did you want a girl for your firstborn he just rolled his eyes at me when I asked him again this time he looked me right in the eye and said with a grin because I knew you would take care of me till the day I die. So you see my dadconfirmed what I felt even as a child that I would be the one to care for him till God took him home. I have a Lotta memories of my Dad. I remembered a preacher one said don't be afraid to go down memory lane because you never know what you missed along and the way that God could be saving treasures just for you. So Dad no regrets,saying this  I would do it all over again. My family would often ask me how could I do what I do when it came to dad, getting my hands dirty are just doing the daily task the bottom line he was our daddy.  Gods word says to take care of our parents in their old age and I thank God that I was able to do it with my job,I was more flexible, my dad took care of us  so it was my turn to take care of him I give daddy honor and papa I love you.   One night I was putting him into bed and I was getting ready to turn off the lights and Papa called me and I turned around and said Lisa I'm glad you're my daughter. That meant more to me than any thank you. Daddy might of not always said thank you  but then I never expected it.   I know he appreciated me in his own way and he appreciated his kids in his own way.  My dad was a man of few words  The last week I had with dad, God granted daddy peace and just to watch my dad lie there and not struggle with his Parkinson's,  sometimes he squeeze our hand or move his feet or with his knee I thank God he still had his memory and he could hear us.  God granted my prayer he took dad in a peaceful sleep and I was lying right next to him holding his hand.  I always told dad I would never leave him when that time will come.  So papa I love you and I'll miss you and I'll always keep your memory alive that's what I have

I would like to thank DaceyTheriot for the care she gave our Dad. She was awesome with my dad. She was committed and compassionate and an awesome person to talk to.  My dad was very lucky to have Dacey.  When I would leave for work I did not have any thing to worry about because I knew dad was in good hands with Dacey.  She was not only a caregiver but she became like a sister to me so I thank God for blessIng us with her. Thank you my friend. Love Lisa

I want to say this to my niece Lisa Ann I bless you for taking care of your father for so many years. You were there for him for a long long time I wish you the best and pray for you in your time of Sorrow I love you little girl Aunt Dee

The thing I will always remember about Bullay is he always told me I was his favorite sister-in-law. Him and Frank always got along.  He was a teaser. Will miss seeing when I go back to New Iberia.
