John Dave Meaux

NEW IBERIA – Funeral Services will be conducted for Mr. John Dave Meaux, age 71, at 10:00 am Friday, April 10, 2015 at Evangeline Funeral Home with Deacon Theo Landry officiating. Interment will be follow at Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Thursday with a Rosary at 6:30 pm. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 am on Friday until service time.

A native of Vinton and resident of New Iberia, Mr. Meaux passed away at 7:30 am on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at Lafayette General Medical Center.

Mr. Meaux was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed fishing and deer hunting. He will be missed dearly by his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife Loyce Breaux Meaux; one son, David Meaux and wife Ashley; three daughters, Linda Mullens and husband Richard Blake; Wendy Mouton and husband Byron and Mary Bourque and husband Danny, Jr. all of New Iberia and one step son, Bret Menard of Tampa, FL; his mother, Lilly McNaughton Meaux of New Iberia; four grandchildren, Nikki Migues, Kaley Migues, Cassie Broussard and Emily Meaux; two step grandchildren, Bret Jacob Menard and wife Ashley and Brittany Menard; one brother, Walter “Gene” Meaux of New Iberia and two sisters, Mary Dugas of Dallas and Elizabeth “Liz” Gonsoulin and husband Chester, Sr. of Loreauville.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Meaux and one grandson, Adam John Meaux.

Pallbearers will be Troy McAnally, Danny Bourque, Jr., Byron Mouton, Troy Meaux, Richard Blake Mullins and Marshall Romero.

Honorary pallbearers will be Walter “Gene” Meaux, Bret Menard and Bret Jacob Menard.
