Age 80, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2019 after a short, but courageous battle with brain cancer. He was surrounded by family at the beautiful J.A. Wedum Residential Hospice.
Thomas is survived by his Beloved Wife of 53 years, Jeannie; Children, Father Shawn, Jodi (Chad), Chad (Jackie) and Kelly (Mike); Grandchildren, Hailey, Ella, Anna, Jack, Brayden, Harper, Adeline and Thomas; Brother, Jerald (Bev); Sister, Beverly (Dean); and many Relatives and Friends.
Thomas is preceded in death by his Parents, Albert and Celia; Sister, Carol; Brother-in-law, Al.
Thomas grew up in Northeast Minneapolis. He worked for Northwestern Bell (today known as CenturyLink) for 32 years. After retiring at age 51 in a role as district manager, he proceeded to work in a consulting capacity on major telecommunications projects around the state of Minnesota.
Thomas served in the Army National Guard early on in life. He enjoyed years of boating and camping with his wife, friends and family, and he had a passion for downhill skiing, which he eventually shared and passed to his kids, spending many winter vacations out west with them. Thomas loved to play golf and watch Minnesota Twins baseball. He enjoyed spending summers at his cabin in Crosslake, MN and traveling with his wife during the winter months to escape the cold Minnesota temperatures. But most of all, Thomas treasured spending time with his family more than anything. He was a proud, devoted husband, father and grandfather and found his most prized, happy place in the company of his wife, kids and grandkids.
Thomas was known for his generous heart, always extending his hand to help others. At 6 foot 6 inches tall, he was often referred to as, “the big guy,” but his spirit was kind, gentle and patient. We raise our glasses and toast him in the same way he did countless times acknowledging his polish roots, “Nostrovia!” Until we meet again Thomas…

Visitation is one hour prior to mass beginning at 10:00am.
Lunch will follow the service.

Gethsemane Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred in Thomas’s memory to the J.A. Wedum Residential Hospice in Brooklyn Park.
The family would like to extend a very special “thank you” to the staff on the 7th Floor at Methodist Hospital, as well as the staff at the J.A. Wedum Residential Hospice, for the loving care they gave to Thomas. They made his last days peaceful and beautiful.
