She served as a special education teacher in Oregon for many years. Her commitment to education touched countless lives, leaving an indelible mark on her community. She had a special affinity for elephants and cherished her dogs Simon and Murphy, who brought her immeasurable happiness.
Jean's humor and kindness extended to everyone she encountered and she was a beloved sister to Nadette, Patty, and Joey. Her presence will be deeply missed by her extended family and friends, who were touched by her generosity, grace and quick wit.
In her final years, Jean was lovingly cared for by the staff at Catholic Eldercare, where she formed close connections and received great support. Jean's spirit lives on in the hearts of all who knew her, leaving behind a legacy of love, compassion, and unforgettable memories.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 20 at St. Anthony of Padua Chapel, 813 NE Main St., at 10:45 am. Inurnment to follow at Gethsemane Cemetery.
