Arliss M. Young

Arliss was born on April 23, 1928 in Minneapolis to Archie and Mabel (Johnson) McBeath. She grew up in St. Louis Park and while attending Hamline University, she met Spencer Young, the love of her life. They were married for 39 years.

Arliss was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Spencer and daughter-in-law, Mary Jane.

She is survived by sons, Roger (Betty) and Andrew (Kathy); grandchildren, Stephen, Peter and Emily; great-granddaughter Skylee; sister-in-law, Barbara Young and many nieces and nephews. Arliss loved her roles of wife, mother and homemaker. She was an active member at Aldersgate United Methodist Church for many years, where she enjoyed being in a handbell choir and attending Bible studies.

Funeral service at 2:00 PM, Thursday, December 12 at Kapala-Glodek-Malone Funeral Home, 7800 Bass Lake Road, New Hope with visitation beginning at 1:00 PM.
