Vida Lapins of New City, NY, 82 years old, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2023. Vida was a lifelong resident of Rockland County. She was born on July 19, 1941 and adopted by David and Yetta Besso. She graduated from Midwood High School, NYU and received her Master’s from Hunter College. She is reunited with the men who she loved and who loved her. Vida enjoyed teaching, dancing, boating, telling jokes, NCIS and Law and Order but her greatest joys came from spending time with her family. She is survived by her daughter Ruth Resciniti and son-in-law John Resciniti. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Chandler, Drew, and Harrison. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Memorial service will be held on Friday from 3-5 pm at Higgins Funeral Home in New City, NY. Family and Friends are welcome at the home on Friday 6-8 pm, Saturday 1-3 pm and 5-8 pm, and Sunday from 12-3 pm.
