Thomas M. Langer passed away with his beloved dog Milo on August 12, 2021, in a tragic car accident at the age of 51. He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Thomas and Elaine Langer and was one of four boys. He was raised in Congers, New York and graduated from St. Joseph Regional High School. He started his career as a Stockbroker and Salesman and later relocated to Ocean County, New Jersey where he was self-employed with his home improvement business.
Tommy was an adventurer and would always discover the best kept secrets in any place he visited; he was always enthusiastic to later share those experiences with others. He was a proud father who loved his children very much. Tommy was a spiritual man who was passionate about his connection with a higher power. He was a man of wisdom; he had a way of making those who came to him for advice leave with a better sense of direction. He was deeply committed to honoring his late sister in-law at the annual 9/11 ceremony, he never missed a year. He had a love for cooking - he was notorious for making the most delicious, over the top meals for all those he cared for. He treasured his time on the water, whether it was boating or jet skiing – many knew him as “Tommy Wave Runner.”
Thomas will be remembered as a friendly, generous, vivacious, loving man and father who had the biggest smile and infectious laugh. His positive energy reached all who were around him. He will be missed terribly by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his loving daughters Keri Thorpe and Vanessa Langer and his son TJ Langer, his longtime love Andrea Longueira, and his trusted confidant/ co-parent Jennifer Thorpe. He was preceded in death by his mother Elaine Langer, Irish Twin Brother Timothy Langer, his sister in-law Vanessa Lang Langer, and his Grandparents.
A Celebration of Thomas’s Life will be held at Higgins Funeral Home located at 321 S. Main St, New City, New York on Thursday, August 19th from 2:00-4:00pm & 7:00-9:00pm. A service will be held at 10:00am on Friday, August 20th at St. Paul’s Church Located at 82 Lake Rd, Congers, NY, followed by interment at Gethsemane Cemetery in Congers, NY.
