Salvatore LoCascio

Salvatore LoCascio, originally from Queens, New York, 88 years old, passed away on September 12th, 2022, with family by his side. He was one of four children born on May 5, 1934 to Dominica and Vincenzo LoCascio in Baucina, Sicily, Italy. He is survived by his wife Marie of 57 years, sister Fortunata, spouse Santo; their 4 children, Nino, Vincenzo, Giuseppe, and Domenico, brother Micheli spouse Josephine; their 2 children Domenica and Vincenza as well as his brother in law Stephen Alessi (wife Rose), sister-in-law Ann Alessi and all of his cousins here and abroad in Sicily, Italy, plus all his nieces and nephews and their families. Salvatore is predeceased by his parents Dominica and Vincenzo, and his brother Nino as well as his brother and sister in-law’s Beatrice and Ronald Boos, Joe Alessi, John and Ida Alessi, Tina Augello, and Pasqual Alessi.

He came to America in 1958 at the age of 24. Married the love of his life Marie on February 18th 1962. He was a banquet waiter for the New York Hilton for 60 years. He loved to work in his garden in Queens, NY and valued his family and neighbors. He will be greatly missed.

Family will receive visitors at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Home in New City, NY this Thursday 9/15/22 - 2-4pm and 6-8 pm viewings. Mass of Catholic Burial will be held on Friday, 9/16/22 at 11:30 A.M. at St. Anthony’s Shrine, in Nanuet, NY followed by interment at St. Anthony’s Cemetery in Nanuet, NY.
