Nancy L. Garrison

Nancy L. Garrison (née Herska) of New City, NY, 67 years old, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 11, 2021. Nancy was a lifelong resident of New City, NY. She was born on August 14, 1953 to Richard and Sophie Herska. She worked as a nurse for Rockland County Department of Health for 20 years. She enjoyed taking care of those who needed help around her. She also loved spending time with her family and watching her children and grandchildren grow into the people they are today. Nancy was preceded in death by her beloved husband Robert S. Garrison with whom she spent over 40 wonderful years.

She is survived by her daughters Sophia Zuniga, Linda Herska, and Danielle Garrison and daughter-in-law Jacqueline Stabnow Garrison, Esq.; and her sons Robert S. Garrison, Jr., Esq. and Rudy Zuniga. She is also survived by her grandchildren Alexander Zuniga, Christopher Graf, Kevin Graf, Jr., and Shawn Graf. Nancy was one of 12 children and is survived by 9 of her brothers and sisters and many nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday from 3-7pm at Higgins Funeral Home in New City, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, 10am, at St. Francis of Assisi Church, New City, NY followed by interment at Germonds Cemetery, Bardonia, NY.
