Maria Ciancaglini

Peacefully with her family at her side, Maria Ciancaglini, age 78, of New City, NY passed away on February 24, 2013. Maria was born in Furci, Italy to Erminio and Rita DiPierro. Maria will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 53 years, Michele, her daughter Emilia and Robert Thompson, whom she considered her son. She also leaves to cherish her memory her dear brother Pierino, sisters Angela and Fiorina , sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws, and numerous nieces and nephews. Maria was a loving wife, mother, sister and friend. She dedicated her life to her family, enjoyed travelling and was a proud and talented seamstress. We will remember her for her kindness and wonderful sense of humor. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Family will receive visitors on Friday, March 1, 2013 from 2-4pm and 6-9 pm at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Service Inc. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday March 2, 2013 at 9:45 am at St. Augustine’s Church, 140 Maple Ave , New City, NY.
