It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother Madeline (Maddalena) Colomban, a loving and devoted mother, who passed away on 11/14/2024 about a month shy of her 103rd birthday. Her mother passed away when she was 23 years old, and she took over the role as the mother of the home, caring for 4 of her siblings and her Dad. She then worked in Manhattan for “Book of the Month Club” as a typographer. She married her husband the late Arduino Colomban from Trieste Italy in 1955 and moved to Second Ave in Manhattan.
They lived there until all the sisters bought two 2 family connected homes in Country Club in the Bronx. She worked until she gave birth to her first child Dean in 1959. The family then moved to Bardonia in the early 1970’s. Her and her husband were actively involved with the Bardonia Men’s Club. Once her children Dean and Maria finished high school she started to work again for Service Abstract in Nanuet as a data entry operator. She then moved to Nanuet NY, where she currently lived.
She was a deeply religious person and belonged to St. Anthony’s church in Nanuet. Her and all her family were deeply devoted to St. Anthony. She loved her Jesus and we know she is with him now. She touched everyone’s heart, was a wonderful woman and she made us all laugh. She was the best mother any child could ever ask for.
