Linda M. Whitmore

She was born on November 29, 1960, in Queens, NY, and is the eldest child of Mary and Angelo Scarola. She grew up in Manhattan, NY and then spent the rest of her life in Rockland County.

Linda worked as a freelance court reporter, then started her own court reporting business contracted by New York State Parole before finishing her career at the Bronx Supreme Court for 14 years.

She was happily married to her best friend, Brian Whitmore, celebrating their 34th anniversary on July 23rd. Linda loved to travel, finding a good sale, spending time with her family in general and down in LBI and playing with her granddaughter.

She is survived by her mother, Mary Scarola; her husband, Brian Whitmore; her siblings, Anthony Scarola (Sandra) and Lisa Tutwiler (Robert); her three children, Christopher Whitmore (Sarah Connoly), Casey Collins (Ryan Collins), and Carter Whitmore (Madison Knarich); and her granddaughter, Everleigh Collins.

A Visitation for Linda will be held Wednesday, July 27, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Service Inc., 321 S Main St, New City, New York 10956. A Funeral Mass will occur Thursday, July 28, 2022 at 10:00 AM at St. Augustine Church, 140 Maple Ave., New City, NY 10956.
