James J. Coffey of New City, NY passed away on Saturday, January 5, 2013. He was 72 years old. Born March 11, 1940 in Bronx, NY, he was the son of Bridget Barry and Thomas Joseph Coffey. Jim honorably served active duty in the United States Navy from 1958 to 1961. He then served on the New York City Police Department until 1983, was Assistant Director of Security Pacific Corp and President of AATJ Investigations.
Jim was predeceased by his wife, Angelina M. Coffey, on April 24, 2012. He is survived by his son James (Nancy) Coffey of Las Vegas, NV, daughter Terry A. Kroenert of Palisades, NY and his grandchildren Jessica and Allison Marie Kroenert and Mikayla and Brian Coffey.
Family will receive visitors on Thursday January 10, 2013 at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Service Inc. from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Service will be on Friday at 11am at the funeral home.
