Ellen Scully, of Nanuet, NY, passed away at home on Saturday, October, 30th, 2010, surrounded by her children and grandchildren, at the age of 85. She was born on March 6, 1925 in Askeaton, Ireland, to James and Mary (Ahearn) Guerin. She married Michael Scully on September 11th, 1948. She resided in Nanuet for 53 years and was a Parishioner of St. Anthony's Church, Nanuet NY, and was a member of the choir for many years. Survived by sons Michael (Barbara) of Pearl River; Robert (Phyllis) of Pearl River; Brian (Alice), of West Nyack; Sean of Vernon, NJ; daughter Maura (Richard) Raff of West Nyack. Loving grandmother to thirteen grandchildren: Guerin, Kellie, Michael, Shannon, Erin, Sean, Kerrian, Tyler, Justin, Brendan, Kaitlyn, Karlene, and Kristen. She was predeceased by her husband Michael Scully and son Thomas (Geralyn) of New City. Visitation hours will be held Tuesday, November 2nd at Higgins Funeral Home, 321 Main St., New City, NY on Tuesday from 2-4 PM and 7- 9PM. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, 10 AM at St. Anthony's Church in Nanuet, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude's Foundation.
