Chantalle Line Simeon was born in Gros Morne, Ayiti, on June 28, 1964, to Ana Joseph and Pelamy Pierre. Chantalle passed away peacefully on January 1, 2024, at the age of 59. Chantalle finished her high school education at Saint Francois d’Asisse in Port-Au-Prince followed by her college education at Faculte Craan D’Haiti. In 1988, she moved to Rockland County NY at the age of 24. In the following years, she graduated from Eastwick College and obtained her diploma in Licensed Practical Nursing. Chantalle met the love of her life and later primary caregiver, Mariano Exantus, in 2003. She worked at Pine Valley Rehabilitation, Ramapo Manor Nursing Home and last worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Mayfair Care Center. Chantalle enjoyed cooking for loved ones, hosting parties, dressing up nicely, going dancing at a Haitian Bal, and recently listening to gospel music. She was a family person and enjoyed being surrounded by those she loved dearly. Chantalle will always be remembered for her funny sense of humor, fashionable style, caring heart, and love of expensive perfumes. Chantalle is predeceased by her parents and sisters: Qédaine (Juanita) Disla, Marie Rolande Pierre, Yvrose Pierre, Rose Andrée Pierre, and her brother Louverture Pierre.
She is survived by her precious only daughter Ernstacha Malivert, her sisters, Marie Monette Cherubin and husband Urbain Cherubin, Jeannina Jean-Louis, Ketly Louissant and Anne-Marie Nathalie Jean, and her brothers Dr. Jean Renaud Joseph and his wife Claudie Joseph, Henry Pierre Joseph and his wife Georgette Joseph, Dr. Fritz Pierre Joseph, Miranel Pierre and Jaquy Pierre. In addition, she is survived by her nieces and nephews: Michouka Disla, Markenline Devilma, Hugens Laforêt, Winnipeg Cherubin, Ralph Cherubin, Jonelle Joseph, Régine Joseph, Shübert Joseph, Edjah J Skillicorn, Shieldy Jean-Louis, Mirna Pierre, Dr. Samantha Pierre-Joseph, Dr. Enrika Pierre-Joseph, Carl-Henry Pierre- Joseph, Clarens D’Or, Nellann Fleurelus, Dave Fleurelus, Tracey Pierre, Brent Cham, Christina Pierre, Eltha Raymond, Homeria Lubin, Francesska Saintsume, Amanie Greaves, Ashanty Joseph, Clevmer Lubin, Jeff Miceus, Raina Louis, Gutemberg Jean-Baptiste and Janan Jean- Baptiste. She is also survived by her best friend Sherley Cherisien. She will truly be missed by all who knew her and had the chance to experience her beautiful soul. The word of God says in revelation 14:13: “Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, said the spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.”
A visitation for Chantalle will be held Friday, January 19, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Service Inc., 321 S Main St, New City, New York 10956. A prayer service will occur Friday, January 19, 2024 at 7:30 PM, 321 S Main St, New City, New York 10956. A funeral service will occur Saturday, January 20, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Rock Apostolic Church, 33 West Church St., Spring Valley, NY 10977. A burial will occur Saturday, January 20, 2024 at 11:45 AM at Brick Church Cemetery, 221 Brick Church Rd., Spring Valley, NY 10977.
