Antoinette DelVecchio

Antoinette DelVecchio of New City, NY, 97 years old, passed away peacefully at home on May 8 th , 2024.  She is survived by her son Richard and daughter in-law Martha.  She is also survived by her grandson William Sheehan and his wife Danielle, her great-grandson Cameron, and her son-in-law Bill Sheehan.

She was pre-deceased in death by her loving daughter Patrice DelVecchio-Sheehan.

Antoinette was born in Manhattan, NY on February 15 th , 1927.  After moving to Nanuet, NY in 1960 Antoinette was the backbone of the family as she supported her husband’s career and raised two children.  One of nine brothers and sisters, she was loved by her many nephews and nieces who continued to love and support her up until the time of her death.  Antoinette was surrounded by many friends and neighbors who were a constant source of joy to her. Additionally, she had deep ties to the community and was very active in the Clarkstown seniors’ organization where she will be missed by all. 

A viewing will be held at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Home on Tuesday May 14 th from 4-8 pm. A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday May 15 th at 10 am at St. Augustine’s Church in New City, followed by a burial at St. Anthony’s Cemetery in Nanuet NY.
