Anna Bersito Condello, 89, passed away, peacefully at Rosary Hill with Sisters praying by her side, on February 3, 2016 after a brave battle with cancer. Anna, one of seven children, was born to Angelo Bersito and Maria Gabriele Bersito on August 28, 1926 in Mt Vernon, New York. Anna and her husband raised their three daughters in the Bronx and Eastchester, NY. She has been living with her sister, Rose, for the last nine years in Nanuet, NY. A devoted and loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Anna was a devout Catholic. She is predeceased by her parents, husband Antonio Condello, and siblings, Nunzio Bersito, Sam Bersito, Fiore Bersito, Frank Bersito, and Carmella Bernardi. She is survived by her sister, Rose Bersito, her daughters, Angela Martignetti, Kathy Mancuso, and Maryann Lally, her sons in law, seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and many friends at St Anthony's Catholic Church in Nanuet, NY. Anna was cooking and baking until this past Christmas. She will be especially missed for her home made birthday cakes, party cookies and pizza, as well as for the joy that she displayed and shared while in the presence of her family. Visiting will be held on Friday, February 5th from 2-4 & 7-9pm at Higgins Funeral Home in New City. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 6th, 11:30am at St. Anthony's Parish Church followed by interment at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery in New Rochelle, NY. The family is extremely grateful to the Sisters at Rosary Hill for the care, prayers and compassion that they rendered to Anna and her family in her final moments.
