Paul Gagliardi, 82, beloved husband for 54 years of Paula (Miano) Gagliardi, passed away February 1, 2013, after a long illness, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Pedivigliano, Province of Cozenza, Italy a son of the late Ettore and Francesca (Pallone) Gagliardi. He came to the United States in 1959 and has lived in New Britain for 54 years. Mr. Gagliardi was the owner operator of Paul's Shoe Repair in West Hartford, for 40 years. He was a member of St. Anns Church and the Calabria Mia Society. He was a loving father and was always there for his family. He enjoyed gardening and making homemade wine and will be most remembered for his gentleness and compassion. In addition to his wife he will be dearly missed by his son, Marco Gagliardi and fiancee Tiffany of Bristol, his daughter Lisa Boy and her husband Roger of Hebron, his brother and sister in law Carmelo and Ninna Gagliardi of Hope Sound, FL, his two sister's Palmina Perri and her husband Ruggiero of Toronto, Canada and Maria Gagliardi of Italy, his treasured grandchildren Justin Talalaj and his fiancee Eleni, Matthew Gagliardi and his fiancee Maria, Daniel Gagliardi, Joshua and Jeremy Boy and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be will be Tuesday February 5, 9AM from the New Britain Memorial-Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Avenue, followed by the Liturgy of Christian Burial, 10AM at St. Maurice Church, 200 Whightman Rd., entombment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery Garden Mausoleum, all in New Britain.
