Mary was born on September 22, 1922 in New Britain and was daughter to the late Peter and Nellie (Zabrenski) Uryga.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Church, New Britain and belonged to the Children of Mary Society. Mary worked for Fafnir Bearing Co. in the production department for over 25 years. Mary and Stanley loved to go Polka Dancing and traveled a lot. She loved spending time with her family, going on picnics, attending family functions, playing cards and enjoying the holidays.
Mary is survived and will be missed by her brother, Frank Uryga , her sisters: Veronica Riggs and Jean Samojedny and her husband John, all of Southington, eight nieces and nephews and several grand nieces and nephews.
She was also predeceased by her brother in law, William Riggs and sister in law, Elizabeth Uryga.
Family and friends are invited for a time of visitation on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 from 9-11am at the New Britain Memorial Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave, New Britain, followed by a Prayer Service at 11:00am. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
