Margaret Lucyna Babiec Gorecki

Margaret (Babiec) L. Gorecki, 43, of Burlington died peacefully at home, with her parents by her side, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in New Britain and is the beloved daughter of Stanley and Janina (Kierys) Babiec.

Margaret attended Holy Cross School and graduated from MIA in New Britain. She was a dedicated nurse for 14 years at The Reservoir in West Hartford, where she had countless friends who loved her dearly as well as many patients who loved her kind and humble nature.

Margaret was an incredible person who cherished her children and family. She had a gentle spirit and a contagious laugh. She loved beautiful days and spending time outside. She was a loving, and courageous mother, daughter and sister; she will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Besides her parents she will be survived by her four amazing children, Joseph, Lauren, Alexander and Gabriella, who were the loves of her life. She will be dearly missed by her sister, Bozena Walesky and her husband, Christopher of Cheshire and her brother, Henry Babiec.

She is also survived by six nieces and nephews, Kyle; Kevin; Kailey; Samuel; Nathaniel and Eliana. They all loved their amazing aunt with all of their hearts. She leaves aunts and uncles, Frank Babiec; Marian Babiec and his wife, Danuta; Kazimiera Padykula; Danuta Bieszczad; Halina Strycharz and her husband Jozef. She also leaves many cousins and will be missed by them all.

Funeral services will be on Friday, November, 8, 2013 at 9:00 AM at the New Britain Memorial Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave. New Britain . Mass of Christian burial will follow at 10:00 AM at Holy Cross Church.

Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery.

Calling hours will be on Thursday, November 7th from 4:00 to7:00 PM at the New Britain Memorial Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave. New Britain , Directions: I-84, take right off exit #37, 1.5 miles on right.
