Louis L. Morelli, 66, beloved husband of MaryBeth (Pattavina) Morelli, of Bristol, entered into the loving arms of God on Thursday, February 21, 2013 with his family by his side. Louis was born in New Britain and was son to the late Joseph and Evelyn (Esposito) Morelli and son-in-law to the late Eda Pattavina. He had been employed by CT Spring and Stamping for 42 years holding many positions. Lou started as a tool and die maker, then became a manager, head of the new Tooling Room, estimator, and lastly an engineering supervisor, which allowed him to travel the world. He was very passionate about his job and cared deeply for his colleagues. He was a member of the Bristol Fish & Game for many years and he loved to hunt and fish. Lou was also a member of the National Rifle Association and an avid Red Sox fan. He had a passion for travel. Besides traveling the world for work he spent many summers in the Caribbean with his wife. He was also a devoted member of St. Gregory the Great Parish. Lou was a very humble man who was extremely dedicated to his family. He was most proud of his 6 precious grandchildren.
In addition to his devoted wife of 45 years, MaryBeth, he will also be dearly missed by his loving children; Corinne Mazon and her husband James of Burlington and Michael Morelli and his wife Michelle of Bristol; his six grandchildren, Jillian and Benjamin Mazon, Nicholas, Jackson, Samantha, and Madison Morelli; his two brothers, Joseph and Anthony Morelli; his brother-in-law Daniel Pattavina and his wife Faith, and his Great-Aunt Natalie Olashaw and his Great-Aunt and Uncle, Norma and Albert Mattarocci. In addition Louis also leaves several nieces and nephews, many dearly loved family members, close friends and colleagues who loved him very much.
Funeral services will begin Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at 9:00 AM from New Britain Memorial Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain, followed by the funeral liturgy at 10:00 AM in St. Gregory the Great Church, 235 Maltby St., Bristol. Entombment will follow at St. Mary Garden Mausoleum, New Britain. Visitation hours will be Monday, Feb. 25, 2013 from 5-8 PM at the funeral home.
