Irene J. (Halat) Biton, 60, of New Britain, passed away peacefully at home following a valiant battle with cancer. She was born in Germany a daughter of Anna (Schrimpf) Halat and the late Kazimierz Halat. Irene worked as a machinist at Stanley works for many years. Irene was a kind and loving mother and grandmother with a feisty stubborn streak. She loved people and making them feel valuable. In addition to her mother Anna, she is survived by her daughters Misti Walter of Bristol and Mandy Andros and her husband John of Burlington, her companion William Young of New Britain, her sister Trudy Goodwin of New Britain, her brother Tony Halat of Bethlehem, NH, five grandchildren, one great grandson and other relatives in Germany and her dog pup pup. A time of reflection will be held at the Brookside Crematory, 453 Christian Lane, Berlin, CT Saturday October 8th at 11AM. There are no calling hours. New Britain Memorial-Donald D.
