She was born in Tyczek, Poland and was the daughter of the late Stanislaw and Rozalia (Warych) Romanowski. Eleonora and her family immigrated to the United States on December 2, 1961. She was a devout parishioner of Sacred Heart Church and a retiree of Emhart Corporation.
Eleonora will be remembered as a loving and generous grandmother. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, sewing, and reading. Some of her fondest memories were of weekends spent sitting on the beach and playing cards with her family and friends. She adored her grandchildren and was proud of all of their accomplishments.
Eleonora is survived and will be dearly missed by her four children, Tadeusz and wife Krystyna of Farmington, Mieczyslaw and wife Teresa of Prospect, Ryszard and wife Stephanie of Erie, PA, and Barbara Tewksbury of Burlington, her eleven precious grandchildren, Tadeusz, Bernadette and fiancé Bennet, Marcus, Derek, Michael, Brendan and fiancé Sarah, Kathryn, Austin, Rebecca, Alexander, and Hayden, and many cherished nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and siblings, Wladislaw, Franciszka, Rozalia, and Stanislaw.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 8:30am at New Britain Memorial Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain followed by her funeral liturgy at 9:30 am at Sacred Heart Church in New Britain. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
