Edwin Henry Cyr

He was born in Caribou, Maine and was the son of the late Henry and Lena (Ouellette) Cyr, He lived in Limestone, Maine before settling in New Britain and later after retirement Edwin and his wife, moved to Deltona, Florida.

Edwin was the owner and operator of Cyr Painting and prior to that worked at Roy Construction. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church and a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus.

He was a devoted husband and father, who cherished time spend with family and friends. In addition to raising their children, he maintained his career. He was alight hearted man who had a loving and gentle nature with a great sense of humor. He enjoyed gardening, wood working, fishing and snowmobiling, Cruising and the casinos.

In addition to his wife, Juliette he is survived by two sons, James and Kenneth Cyr, three brothers and four sisters, Emile Cyr of Manchester; Raymond Cyr of St. David; Delmar Cyr of Bristol; Jeannette Bouchard of Maine; Annette Sirois of New Britain; Diane Bouchard and Rose Marie Beaulieu of Terryville. He leaves two sisters in law, Lorette Beauleu of Plainville and Antoinette LLresti of Florida; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by sisters, Lorraine Corerreau, Bernadette Cyr; Jacqueline Dumond; Florence Roy, Rena Douette and Verna Bouchard and brother, Joseph Cyr.

Funeral Services will be on Friday, August 2, 2013 at 9:00 Am at the New Britain Memorial-Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Avenue New Britain. Directions: Exit 37 off I 84 take a right at the exit, 1 ½ miles on your right.

Followed by the funeral liturgy of Christian burial will follow at 10:00 Am at St. St. Francis of Assisi Church, Stanley St. New Britain. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Calling hours will be on Thursday August 1sth from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home
