CHRISTINE MARIE BACON (Pozarzycki), 70, of Bristol, passed away on July 8th, 2023 after a suffering from a long illness. Christine was born on April 8th, 1953 to Jan and Klara Pozarzycki in Firminy, France. She came to live in the United States in 1954. Christine graduated from CCSU with a Bachelor’s degree in History and English in only 3 years. She taught at Washington Junior High School, before getting a job with the State of Connecticut Labor Department, located in Hartford. She then became a manager of the Labor Department- Unemployment Division I Willimantic and the New Britain office. She then retired from working for the State of Connecticut.
Christine and Husband, David Bacon were married in Las Vegas. They would go back every year to Vegas and travel around Arizona, New Mexico and Nevada. She would visit her sister Irene in Utah. They enjoyed traveling around Europe and the Holy Land, as well as Aruba. Chris enjoyed going to her timeshare at Stowe VT every year in the fall. She went on an Alaskan cruise and train trip with her sisters Irene, Joanne and her brother in-law Kyle.
Christine is pre-deceased by her husband David Bacon, Her parents, Jan and Klara Pozarzycki, her brother in-law John Campagnano and a friend Mark who helped her often.
Christine leaves behind her sister Joanne Watson and brother-in law Kyle, her sister Irene Dunn and brother in-law Philip, nephews Philip Dunn Jr. and wife Heather, grand nieces and nephews Madeline, Rhianna, Aiden, Adreea, and Cohen. She also leaves behind nephew John Dunn, and grandnieces Bailey and Payton. She leaves behind her special friend and neighbor Holly, who always looked in on her and helped her.
Christine’s family would like to give special thanks to Bristol Hospital ICU doctors, nurses and staff of the palliative care unit for the excellent care that was given to Christine. They would also like to give special thanks to her doctors, Sweta Upadhyay and Matthew Hunt.
