Russell Charles Fleener III

Rusty was born on January 1, 1978 in Franklin, Indiana to Russell and Amber (Russell) Fleener II and Annie (Couch) Fleener. He was married to Lelani Chaffin. He worked and did what he loved at the Joint Base Recreation Park at Canyon Lake for about 7 years. Rusty really loved boating on the Lake and spending time with his family and friends. He was passionate about his animals, but mainly his beloved dog Skyy who he had for 14 years.

Rusty is survived by his wife, Lelani Chaffin, his stepsons David, Brian, Jacob and Leander Chaffin, and beloved dog Skyy, his parents Russell and Annie Fleener II and Amber Fleener, his brother Shane Fleener (wife Pennie and nephew Zarek and niece Zakira), Grandmother Marjorie Fleener and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is predeceased by his brother Jason Russell Fleener and Grandfather Russell Fleener Senior.

Rusty’s “Celebration of life” will be held on Saturday October 8, 2016 at 2:00pm at Pavilion 4 at the Joint base Recreation Park at Canyon Lake. The family will hold another one for all of his family and friends in Indiana at a later date. There will not be a viewing or Funeral held, per family wishes, and because he is being Cremated.

Cremation will be done by Zoeller Funeral Home in New Braunfels Texas.
