Michael E. Bye

Mike is preceded in death by his parents, Barbara and Gayle Bye of Hatton, North Dakota.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Connie Bye. Two sons, Christopher Bye and Theodore Bye, and two daughters, Samantha Bye and Kayla Peck. Two grandchildren, Payton Bye and Morgan Bye. Two great-grandchildren, Braiden Armendariz and Donovan Armendariz. Four brothers, David Bye, Tommy Bye, Steve Bye, and Les Bye and one sister, Barbara Hicks.

Mike was born on September 13, 1950 in Fargo, North Dakota to Barbara and Gayle Bye. On July 18, 1975 he married the love of his life, Connie McCall. Having met each other by chance, they quickly fell in love, were married after only four dates, and together they raised four children.

Mike dutifully served his country in the Air National Guard. Mike began his career at Vermeer Manufacturing in Pella, Iowa. After roughly 42 years of employment, Mike retired from Vermeer Texas-Louisiana as Vice President in 2015. Mike was extremely proud of all that he had accomplished during his time with Vermeer. He and Connie enjoyed a life filled with loving family and dear friends. Together they spent a great deal of time traveling to various destinations and embarked on countless cruises. They also enjoyed golfing, fishing, attending auto races, and going to the movie theater. Mike enjoyed working in the yard and landscaping. Mike was a loving husband, a loyal friend, a present father and grandfather, and an animal lover. Mike never met a stranger and had a heart of gold!

A viewing for Mike will be held on Thursday November 14, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Zoeller Funeral Home, 615 Landa Street New Braunfels, TX 78130. Followed by a Celebration Of Life from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM at Vicky’s Hinterhof, 719 W San Antonio St. New Braunfels, TX 78130.
