Lloyd was born January 5th, 1945 in Brownsville, TX to Mildred "Mitze" and Helmuth "Slim" Schlameus and grew up in New Braunfels and San Antonio. He attended Robert E. Lee High School (Class of 1963) where he played baseball and football, and was voted most handsome. Lloyd continued his education at Southwest Texas State University and was an active member of the Alpha Psi Lambda and Kappa Sigma fraternity. He maintained lifelong friendships with both his fellow athletes and fraternity brothers. He graduated from the University of Texas with his degree in Pharmacy in 1969 and went on to own and operate Peerless Pharmacy in New Braunfels for several years, and retired after a fulfilling 50-year career in pharmacy.
Lloyd was a talented musician who played multiple instruments from guitar to fiddle to mandolin and was well known for his Willie Nelson impersonations. He was also an Eagle Scout who loved hunting and fishing as well as traveling. He had a phenomenal sense of humor, never met a stranger, and was dedicated to his friends and family.
He is survived by his spouse Judith Seagroves, daughters Ashley Ruppel (David Ruppel), Brittani Schlameus, Tiffani Schlameus, Amber Cunningham (David Cunningham), grandchildren Max Cunningham, Kennedy Cunningham, Colton Myers, Kirkland Myers, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Helmuth and Mildred Schlameus as well as his brother Helmuth "Sonny" Schlameus.
He was loved by many and will be missed by all.
