Kathy Dickinson

Kathleen Josephine Ann Simpson Dickinson, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and daughter, passed away Thursday, July 12, 2018 at the age of 68. Kathy is preceded in death by her father, Clayton Eugene Simpson. Kathy will forever be remembered by her husband of 43 years, Robert; her mother, Jane Simpson; her sister, Christine Snider; and her children Jennifer Jacobs, Emily Briggs, Samantha Bryan, Zachary Dickinson; and her grandchildren Jane and Elizabeth Briggs, Ethan Jacobs, and Greyson Dickinson.

Kathy was born in Tiffin, Ohio on June 14, 1950 to Jane and Clayton Simpson. She grew up in a loving home in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. After college, Kathy moved to Houston where she joined a community theater, Town and Country Playhouse, and met Bob, the love of her life. They married on June 21, 1975 in Houston and raised four children through hard working attitudes and silly smiles. Kathy and Bob were partners in life, parenting, as well as business in creating many successful ventures. As a long time resident of Helotes, Texas, Kathy supported the community by contributing time to local school activities, social events, as well as city-wide functions. Kathy was a member of the Alamo Metro Chorus and Unity Church. She enjoyed singing, spending time with family, camping, and sewing.

A Celebration of Kathy’s Life will take place on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at 3:00 pm at Unity Church in New Braunfels, Texas. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kathy’s honor to the Unity Church in New Braunfels www.unitynewbraunfels.org/giving.
