I met Reagan & Katee in Germany. Reagan first, who I already loved, followed by his girlfriend, Katee. Upon meeting, it was like we knew each other forever. A group of us friends created an ultimate bond while living overseas. We had so much fun traveling together, going to fests, local haunts & just hanging out at each other’s home. We were inseparable. Katee was always a ray of sunshine during those notorious gloomy, rainy days of Germany. Watching recorded episodes of Beverly Hills 90210 & Melrose Place at Beth’s is a favorite memory. Then, we discovered taking train rides to where ever we wanted to go & explore. Best times of my life. Eventually, Katee & Reagan returned to TX and I moved to Colorado. I never quite understood the appeal of TX, until I visited Katee & Reagan in New Braunfels. It made me appreciate  the sweet lazy days floating down the river and the German influx in Gruene. I spent my first 2 Thanksgivings back in the states with them & their families. Happy times of a girls trip to Dallas; meeting Melita for the first time. So many memories. They came to visit me 2x in Colorado & once, I wasn’t there, but, they stayed at my house. That’s how I remember our relationship. Easy. Loving. Trusting. Sadly, life can blindside us all. We lost touch after a while, but, my heart is always filled with love for this beautiful girl, who was always filled with energy, optimism and dressed to the hill in her J. Crew dresses! Unfortunately now, my heart is broken to know this sweet soul has left this earth. I love you, my friend and hope you are at peace. Until we meet again, thank you for our friendship & all the belly laughs!!! Love, Joann (Joanna as she lovingly called me).

I remember the days running the city streets - all the way to the fair grounds. I met you in middle school and you have always been such a sweet soul to be around. May you rest in peace. Much love. 

Katee was always very sweet, down to earth and fun.  We were not BBFs, but she always brought a smile to your face.  She will be greatly missed and remembered.  

My sweet Katee, you were my true friend, someone I looked up to and strived to be. Carlos, the boys and I will forever keep you in our hearts. Til we meet again girlfriend ❤️

I miss those beautiful days and happy nights hanging out with you. I hope you find peace my beautiful friend. 

Beautiful Katee!! So many memories!! From middle school through high school. We were thick as thieves. Punk rock, alternative, chipmunk cheeks, flute playing….I love love love you. My heart is broken. Rest easy love!!

My heart is broken knowing that you are gone.  My family and I were so fortunate to have shared so many amazing times with you.  I will miss your sense of humor, your passion for adventure, your kindness and I will miss our talks.  You were so much fun to be around and would keep me laughing for days.
