Jose was preceded in death by his wife, Maria Elva Gutierrez; son, Jose E. Gutierrez; sisters, Rosita Cruz and Frances Gutierrez; and brother, Frank Gutierrez. He is survived by son, Adolfo Gutierrez and wife Janie; daughters, Rosario Gutierrez and Delia Gutierrez; grandchildren, Chris Gutierrez (Andi), Bryan Gutierrez (Amanda), John Gutierrez (Emmie), Marcus Gutierrez, David Gutierrez, Christian Gutierrez, and Alex Riebe (Skylar); great-grandchildren, Hailey, Ethan, Raylyn, Faith, Carter, Ellie, and William.
Public Visitation will begin at 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Sunday, March 5, 2023 at Zoeller Funeral Home with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 6, 2023 at 1:30 PM at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church at Canyon Lake, Texas with burial to follow in Cranes Mill Cemetery.
