Frieda W Meckel

Frieda W Meckel, a resident of New Braunfels, passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at the age of 90. Frieda was born on September 13, 1923 in Koscuisko, TX to Joseph and Monika Wiatrek. She loved gardening, cooking for her family, puzzles, and especially her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; stepmother, Frances Kroll Wiatrek; first husband, Whitley Kotzur; second husband, Elmo Meckel; son, Lucian Kotzur; and grandson, Scott Pearson. Survivors include her sister, Theresa Moczygemba (Edward) and brother, Chester Wiatrek of Koscuisko; sister, Helen Dzuik (Robert) of Bay City; daughters, Dorothy Schultz (Wilburn), and Diana Seibert (Richard) both of New Braunfels; daughter, Alice Pearson (Greg) of San Antonio; daughter, Doris Simpson of Moore, OK; grandchildren, Kathy Hamrick (Russ), Jackie Johnson, Robin Petschel (Richard), Stacy Pfeil (Nathan), Chris Kotzur, Misti Erben (Jason), and Kristina Eckerling (Aaron); 12 great grandchildren; and 1 great, great grandchild.

A graveside service is scheduled for Tuesday, July 29th at 10:00 at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park.
