FRANKLIN G. BROCK, was born October 19, 1936, in Belton, TX and passed away on December 18, 2013, surrounded by family and friends at Christus Santa Rosa Hospital at the age of 77. He currently resided in New Braunfels, Texas, having spent 25 years plus living in Woodlake in McQueeney, Texas on the Guadalupe River. His hometown was New Braunfels where he attended Carl Schurtz Elementary, New Braunfels Junior High, and graduated from New Braunfels Senior High in 1956. He was pre-deceased by his mother, Buelah Brock, his father, Alonzo Brock, and brother-in-law, Reinhold Kraft. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Jo Ann Plumhof Brock; one sister, Betty Kraft of Cedar Park, Tx and one brother, Ken Brock and wife, Mary, of Laconia; New Hampshire; nephew Henry Kraft and wife, Karan, of Marion, Tx; niece Nancy Williams and husband, Audie, of Warsau, Indiana; niece Alice Cates and husband Pat, of Cedar Park, Tx. ;nephew Gary Brock and wife Sheri, of Watertown, MA. and niece Donna Kovacs, and husband, Steve, of Buxton, Maine. In addition, he is survived by very dear and special family friends, Lyle Friesenhahn and wife, Beckie, of Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin; Renee Friesenhahn Nicholas, and husband, David, of Garland, Tx.;Yvette Friesenhahn Oquin and husband, Troy, of Trenton, Tx.;Landry Friesenhahn of Plano, Tx.; and Michele Friesenhahn Barton and husband, Lowell, of Allen, Tx. ........as well as numerous family and friends.
Frank was employed by Mission Valley Mills for some 43 years, having retired in 1999. He was an avid 9-pin bowler and a life member of Freiheit Bowling Club. Among his hobbies were salt water fishing, traveling (especially cruising) and just recently RVing.
Services will be Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Zoeller Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park. Viewing and visitation are scheduled for Friday, Dec. 20, 2013 from 6 to 8 at Zoeller's. Obituary and guest book on line at www.zoellerfuneralhm.com.
