Douglas Delano Phillips Sr.

Douglas D. Phillips, age 77, passed away on Monday March 15, 2021 in New Braunfels, Texas. Douglas joined the United States Air Force in 1964 and completed his military career in the Texas Army National Guard. He had a long and rewarding career in over the road truck driving across the United States, making deliveries in all 48 contiguous states. When not on the road and after retirement he enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Douglas was preceded in death by his parents Daniel and Edna (Thompson) Phillips, sister Flossie Pollock (Bill), brothers Harley Phillips and Bruce Phillips (Martha). He is survived by Martha, sister Lois Tharp (Ron), brother Daniel Phillips Jr. (Patty), son Douglas D. Phillips Jr. (Joyce), daughter Patricia A. Andrews, and grandchildren Gunnar Tietge, Megan Andrews, John Austin Andrews as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio, Texas on April 23, 2021.
