Charles Francis Ellis was the third of six children born to Edna Ruth and George Franklin Ellis. He was born in Fort Pierce, Florida, on October 31, 1925. The family moved to Waynoka, Oklahoma in 1936 where Charles attended the Waynoka schools. Charles married Betty Stallman of Waynoka in 1948 and they were married for 66 years. They made their first home in Waynoka and later moved to Enid, Tulsa and Guymon, Oklahoma.
While in Guymon, Charles worked at Nash Brothers for 19 years before retiring in 1987. Charles and Betty lived their retirement years near San Antonio, Texas, with their final home located in New Braunfels, TX.
Charles is survived by son Chuck Ellis and daughter-in-law Candy and daughter Christy DeWolfe; grandsons Jason, Dustin, and Kevin Ellis, Kent, Brent, and Robert DeWolfe, 6 grandsons, 7 great grandsons and 4 great granddaughters, 3 sisters - Jeannie Kysar, Joyce Redgate and June Wright. Charles was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He loved to go fishing with his son, grandsons and great grandchildren in Port Aransas, Texas. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
