Andrew N. Schwab

Andrew Norbert Schwab of New Braunfels left this world peacefully on January 13, 2023. By his side were his daughters, Bobbie Thomas and Lynn Franklin and his son-in-law Sean Franklin. He was 81 years old.

The son of Earhart and Lula Schwab, Andrew was born on November 14, 1941. He was the first of 12 children. He attended Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic School. He graduated from New Braunfels High School in 1962. Andrew served in the Army National Guard for 6 years (1965 to 1971) as Radio TT Operator. His military qualifications included Sharpshooter and Marksman.

He married Susan Thoms in 1968. Susan passed away in September of 1974. He is survived by his daughter, Bobbie Lou Thoms and grandson, Aiden Jacob Halsell-Thoms. And by his daughter, Lynn Sue Franklin, her husband, Sean Franklin and grandson, John Jordan Franklin. He is survived by nine siblings. Margaret Nelson, Mary Nickel, Joseph Schwab and wife Darlene, Martha Coiro, Alphonse Schwab, Marcella Morris and husband Jim, Gregory Schwab and wife Diane, Marilyn Manford, Monica Leal and husband Gilbert; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Zoeller Funeral Home on Monday, January 23, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at 10:00 AM. Graveside services to be held at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the New Braunfels Professional Firefighters Association or the Alzheimer’s Association.
