Danny, Boone, and Tressa,
I am so very sad to hear about Bit passing. She was a second mom to me for most of my childhood, and you all a second family. When Boone and I were in middle and high school I lived more at there house then my own. She always marched to the beat of her own drum, and was quick to let you know. I have so many great memories! She will be greatly missed.

Danny, Boone and family.  May God’s grace give you strength during this time.  Ginny’s light  truly shined on her family, friends, and  fur babies . She was  a special lady and will be missed. May peace be with you.

You were 19 years old when I was born. Just a few years later we lost our mama and you stepped up. We still argued like sisters do, but moved on quickly. Over the years we lost a lot of loved ones, but we stuck together. We parasailed in Hawaii, we snorkeled in the Caymans, we viewed Paris from the top of the Eiffel Tower, we toured Portugal, Switzerland, Spain and Italy. The list goes on. We may not have seen each other everyday, but we talked on the phone several times a week. When my kids were born, you became their grandma, making sure Madison got to dance class, and Morgan learned to fish. A passion you both share. Life for me will never be the same. Seeing you hurting has broken me forever. Your time here is done, so rest easy. With all my love forever…Cheryl

In 1967 God sent Ginny to me, to help me become a better man. Little Bit, as she was known, was a kind loving woman that would help people and animals. Over the years we have helped save and rescue hundreds of animals, all at our own expense. In 1999 during the hurricane we delivered food and supplies to the Vanceboro community. Using our own boats we saved numerous animals. One time our neighbors home caught on fire, while waiting for first responders, Ginny entered the burning home and rescued three cats. All three had succumbed to smoke, she performed mouth to mouth CPR on each cat until firefighters arrived to supply oxygen. The local paper reported all three cats survived and lived a long healthy life because of her selfless act. If you were fortunate enough to know her, you knew she was pied piper for saving animals. During her lifetime she accomplished the honor of becoming the first Danny Joe Humphrey bass tournament won by a female. We also won the regional federation bass tournament. On our wedding day she made me take her fishing, I knew then she would out fish me for life. I thank God that she was my partner, all these years and life will never be the same without her.
