Dr Truluck saved my life July 10,1998.  That was the day my daughter was born.  I had to be rushed to New Bern hospital from Cherry Point because of complications due to emergency c-section.  Dr Truluck performed the surgery that stopped my internal bleeding and led me to living a life of bliss with my daughter.  I am forever grateful to this man. May he rest in eternal peace. Thank you sir so so much 

I met Brian and Suzanne a little over three years ago as they hired me to design and install their landscaping in Trent Woods. Brian was always extremely polite to me and he and I shared our knowledge of plants. He had a great sense of humor and always had time to share a few words with me. My condolences go out to Suzanne and the rest of his family.

To the Truluck family please accept my sincere condolences. Dr. Truluck delivered my first son in March 1988. He was a very good doctor. I often asked about him over the years whenever I went to the women's center. Again I am so sorry he was a Good man and a Excellent doctor. RIP Dr.Truluck!!!!!

I met Brian Truluck near the Fourth of July in 1975.  That's when we were beginning our residency in OB/Gyn at Bowman Gray.  We became good friends as well as colleagues over the next four years.  As the end of our training was coming to an end we decided to work together and start a practice on our own.  We built our first office while still residents living in Winston-Salem and knowing just a few people in New Bern.  We moved to New Bern together and went to work as Pine Tree OB-GYN in July of 1979, only days after completing our residency.  The practice thrived and later morphed into ECWC as practices merged and more providers were added.  I can say without reservation that the establishment of Pine Tree OB-GYN  and my first few years of practice with Brian remain the most significant and meaning part of my medical career. Brian was highly competent and a great partner and friend.  I will never forget those early years.  As time went by I appreciated his intelligence, sense of humor and keen wit more than ever.  His later years were difficult but he was never bitter, never angry and remained a true gentleman and family man.  He was perpetually happy in spite of the burdens of illness.  He is now at peace, and I will miss him greatly.  John Tinga

When Brian first started treatment, they were staying up in the Raleigh area. Tom and I had come to NC from Texas for some pre wedding stuff for my son. We spent several days with them going out to eat and making memories. Even though we lived far apart, when we got together it’s like time stood still. 

Dr Truluck was my mentor, my boss, my friend. He was funny and caring.  I was his nurse 30 years ago., but remained friends throughout time. I have so many memories of him. My thoughts are with his family. May he Rest In Peace. I love you TBT!

You got to give it to him, hands down my hat off to you Dr. Truluck , I once asked you after you delivered couple of my son's, asked you How many babies have you delivered in your time? You looked at me with this short grin on your face and said, Many now Many more to come, I know people you delivered them, their kids ,their kids, kids ! Friend and Hospice Nurse. 
We met over 20 yrs ago when you met the love of your life. You intimidated the heck out of me with your  stature, brilliance and good looks. I remember your sense of humor was sometimes wicked and sometimes goofy! You had a smile that made everybody feel good. I know that bringing new lives into this world was something you truly enjoyed and you brought in more than a few generations that I know you were proud of. Most of all you loved your family and the simple things in life were your greatest treasures. There were times when words were difficult but the love in your eyes when you looked at your children, your grandchildren and your beloved wife was so bright that words weren’t needed. 
It was a pleasure and a blessing to work with Suzanne in caring for you. You never stopped teaching and I learned a lot from you and for that I thank you. Not only will you be well missed, you will also be well remembered!
May your family, friends, and the community celebrate your life and the difference you made in theirs. 

It was a great honor working with you many years ago at Eastern Carolina Women's Center and having you deliver my first grandson in 2004. Praying God will comfort your family during this difficult time.  

I worked with Dr Truluck in Labor & Delivery in New Bern for over 2 decades. As an Obstetrician he was both skilled and caring. I remember him as having a somewhat shy sense of humor. I know his memory will be a blessing to his family in this time of loss. He will be missed. 

My Best Doc Ever !!! Behind those clean pressed shirts and such a professional front was a man with a caring heart. I will always treasure the memories of working for you at Pine Tree OB-GYN. Tho many years and miles separated us you and Suz never failed to check in on me and my family. I will miss calling to say “Hello Handsome” and picture your face light up as you talked about your family and grandkids. I am flooded with some great times and funny moments we shared together. I am glad you fought a galant fight with cancer for you got to see Sarah’s baby and go to Ireland and spend more time with the people whom you loved . 🍀 your old nurse , Vickie 

So many great work memories of Dr. Truluck.  He delivered both of my girls. He was such a caring and compassionate provider.  What a great honor to have worked for him.  He loved to tell us corney jokes that you couldn't help but laugh at. He will certainly be missed by many. 



I only got to work with Dr Truluck a hand full of times before he retired, but it was long enough for me to learn how much he cared for his patients and he was a great physician to work with. I pray for peace for his family at this difficult time.

I had the privilege to work with Dr. Truluck for several years before his retirement.  He was truly a kind and caring man. He had the best sense of humor and his laugh was contagious. I still giggle at some of the stories he shared. I loved working with him. I loved laughing with him. I appreciate the kindness he always showed me and all of the support he gave me. He was, as everyone has said, just an incredible person.  

I hope we can all take a moment to reflect on the type of person he was and perhaps honor his memory by being more like Dr. Truluck. 

I had a lot of fun times working for Dr. Truluck! He was genuinely a good man. He will surely be missed by all who knew and loved him! My condolences to his family and friends. 

I worked part time at Pinetree OB/Gyn, later Eastern CAROLINA  Women’s Center from 1991 to 2004 and Dr TBT, as we sometimes called him, was alway kind and professional to his patients and staff.  He was soft spoken which was a result of his gentle manner.  I never saw him mad as he would turn away and go into his office before saying something he might regret.  My condolences to Suzanne, his children and grandchildren and all his family  He will be missed by all who knew him. 

Brian Truluck was my best friend. Such a genuine, good, kind man. He was an incredible physician who worked hard, long hours that most people could never comprehend. He was a gentle gentleman and I treasure my memories with him. Very few make as big an impact on so many others. The world will never be the same. Rest In Peace. 

Dr. Truluck and his nurse Donna were a wonderful caregiving team. He was a very caring doctor and loved his work and his family. I enjoyed working for him and appreciated his care of me as his patient.

I have so many wonderful memories of Dr. Truluck. I had the pleasure of working with him a number of years. He taught me so much! He was a genuinely good man that was extremely dedicated to his family and patients. To say I have a great amount of respect for him is an understatement. I feel very blessed to have known him, worked for him and call him a dear friend. My deepest condolences for his family and friends. He will surely be missed.❤️

I had the pleasure of working with Dr Truluck at  Pine Tree OBGYN for almost 9 years.  I can honestly say those were some of the best years of my life.   We were like family.   Dr Truluck will be greatly missed.  He was an excellent, caring Doctor as well as a very kind human being.  Rest In Peace my friend.

So many fun memories of the Truluck's as our first neighbors in Hidden Harbor. Brian had a true "Southern" sense of humor and we all will certainly miss his anecdotes and side commentaries. He loved his family and would do anything for them. We truly enjoyed our beach vacations and fishing expeditions with the Trulucks. We wish Suzanne and the family peace.

Dr Truluck was an extremely gifted physician that I had the great pleasure of working with for over 25 years. He had a great sense of humor and was extremely intelligent and a dedicated and caring provider. I appreciated the the times he expressed personal concern when I was going through some tough times as well. He did that for many. He will certainly be remembered and missed. Deepest sympathy and prayers for the family.

Worked with Dr.Truluck for 32 years at Carolina  East .He was a delight to work with and left lots of great memories and laughs with his dry sense of humor.He was a kind soul

Dr Truluck was my dr also for many years I remenber when the women's center started he asked me to go there and then let him know what I thought of the new place. Not alot of drs like him that care about his patients.  RIP Dr Truluck.  Deepest condolences to the family

Dr Truluck was my doctor for many years before retiring. He was one of the best in my opinion he truly cared about his patients it's wasn't about the money. He would do whatever he could for you or find out the best possible treatment. My deepest condolences to his family.
