Dr. Thomas “Brian” Truluck, 72, of Trent Woods, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, December 25, 2021. The greatest gift he left for his family and friends this Christmas was the gift of treasured memories that will comfort us all and give us peace.
Brian was born and grew up in Olanta, South Carolina. He was the middle son of the late Wilmont Martin Truluck and Helen Reardon Truluck. He graduated from Olanta Public Schools, The University of South Carolina, and the Medical University of South Carolina where he attended medical school. He completed Residency at Bowman-Gray Medical School and was a Fellow of The American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Upon completion of Residency, he moved to New Bern and was a founding partner of Pinetree OB/GYN. The practice evolved to become what is known today as Eastern Carolina Women’s Center. He practiced in the New Bern area for over 40 years.
Brian enjoyed relaxing on his fishing boat, scuba diving, and playing golf. He was a wonderful cook and grill master in his retirement years, enjoying island living in Emerald Isle. Brian’s greatest joy in life was becoming a “Pop Pop” and enjoying the six lights of his life; Adelaide (Sarah), Chloe, Brody and Audrey (Renáe), and Blaire and Vivienne (Marc).
He was the beloved husband of Suzanne Truluck; his daughter Sarah Battersby and husband, Brian; his daughter Renáe LeBlanc; and his son Marc LeBlanc and wife, Meghan; brothers, Wilmont Martin Truluck, Jr. and wife, Nancy and neice Jennifer Elaine Truluck; and Robert Michael Truluck.
