Rachel Darden Hill, 79, of Tuscarora, died October 3, 2013 at home from acute leukemia.
She was born on March 14, 1934 in Lenoir County.
She is survived by her husband James Aubrey Hill, two sons, James G. Hill and wife Janet of New Bern; Darrell Scott Hill of Burgaw; one daughter, Lisa Hill DelGuercio and husband Joseph of LaGrange; one sister, Effie Rae Harper of Kinston; one great-grandson, Cameron McSorley of New Bern; two nieces, Sherry Harper of Kinston; and Betty Lou Sanderson of Albertson.
Visitation will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, October 6, 2013 at Cotten Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service at 4:00 pm. A committal service will be held Monday, October 7, 2013 1:00 p.m. at New Bern Memorial Cemetery.
