Phyllis Gaskins Hawkins, 66, of New Bern, died November 30, 2013 at the Crystal Coast Hospice House in Newport.
She was the daughter of the late Leston Gaskins and Betty Smith. Phyllis was a member of Faith United Methodist Church and the Red Hat Society. She is preceded in death by her son, Richard Ingham, Jr. and a brother, Douglas Gaskins.
She is survived by two daughters, Renee Schumucker of Newport; Samantha Dodson of Texas; one sister, Janice Stumph and husband Larry of Ohio; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and her special friend Karen Kwasigroh of Smyrna.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, December 7, 2013 at Faith UMC.
